Seesaw Learning Journals

Seesaw is our main form of communication with caregivers. Families can access Seesaw via the App or website (https://app.seesaw.me/). On Seesaw, you will receive:
• School key updates and reminders
• Class and specialist teacher updates
• Student learning portfolios, including assessment and reporting
• Two-way messaging platform for staff and families.
For support accessing Seesaw, please see the Front Office or your child’s teacher.

Facebook

Our school Facebook is used to share our highlights with the wider community to raise school pride.

Newsletter: The Long Street Loop

The Long Street Loop is produced three times a term, containing:
• A message from the Principal
• House Point ladder update
• Upcoming key events
The Loop is shared via Seesaw and our Facebook page.

Assembly – Families Welcome!

Student Leaders host our assemblies with classes sharing a spotlight of learning on a rotation. Learner Strength, Excellence and other recognition awards are given at each assembly.
• When: Fridays in Weeks 3, 6 and 9 on Fridays
• Start Time: 9:00am
• Where: Rotherham Hall (The Gym).
Any changes will be communicated via Seesaw.

EdSmart Emails

Families may receive emails from Long Street Primary School via EdSmart regarding:
• Incursion, excursion or camp permission slips
• RSVPs to events
• Sick Bay visits or health related information.
If you update your email address, please let us know as soon as possible.

Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews

Families are invited to book learning conversations with your child’s teachers any time of year, at a time and date of mutual convenience. Book a meeting time via Seesaw or the Front Office.
