The core business of Long Street Primary School is Teaching and Learning within an integrated, responsive and supportive enviromnent, which strives for continuous improvement for children, staff and parents. All students will receive teaching in the areas of curriculum as prescribed by the Department for Education following the South Australian Curriculum Standards and Accountability Framework. Language Other Than English will be taught subject to teacher availability. We recognize that assessment is an integral part of providing sound learning outcomes for students therefore we will collect baseline data, set standards and monitor and assess progress of all students R-7. We will continue to survey and analyse data collected from the parent community to enable further development and improvement at site level to complement our community vision for the school.

Relevant Training and Development for all staff will underpin student learning outcomes. Leaders will continue to provide support through explicit performance management strategies and via modelling good practice to enhance staff development.
